Ellen has been an Addus employee since 2007. She has worked as a Quality Assurance Supervisor In charge of IDOA contracted home visits to clients and checking on their service and making sure that they were receiving proper care. Ellen has also been trained as an EMT and has used her experience to report problems if something did not look right. Since last August Ellen accepted the position of Training Coordinator. She immediately jumped in and updated the pre-service and in-service training, organized the training room and has trained our HCA’s on what to look for when client issues arise. Our HCA’s are now prepared to handle client situations and to deal with them in a professional manner. Ellen also works as a volunteer on the Paw Paw Fire Department and has her own Search and Rescue Business. She is extremely knowledgeable in many areas and we at the Wheaton office are proud to call her one of our own.

Elaine is an exceptional Home Care Aide and an employee I am very proud to have as part of the Addus Team. She not only cares and services her clients. She is an advocate in obtaining Senior assistance programs for her clients who have financial issues. Elaine has taken needy clients to the Information and Assistance office in the Quincy Senior and Family Resource office. She has worked with the staff there in obtaining programs for Seniors such as Circuit Breaker Program, Medicare D, and medicine assistance. I have received compliments from the Information and Assistance office on Elaine and how wonderful a person she is, a shining star in the community who truly has her heart in the right place. Thank you Elaine for all that you do to help others.

Karen has a natural instinct caring for people. She has gone above and beyond her normal duties in caring for her clients. One client who is a severe diabetic and has had 6 partial finger amputations due to chronic skin infections, has healed. The client’s physician was amazed and contributed the healing to Karen’s care. This was a huge compliment coming from this physician. Thank you Karen for all the care you give to your clients.

The County of York, PA Area Agency on Aging awarded Dodie on May 19th as one of the “2010 Outstanding Caregivers of the Year”.
She was selected for providing dedicated service to consumers served by the York County Area Agency on Aging. It is her dedication and compassionate care that allows older residents of York County to remain in their homes and receive the care that enriches their quality of life. Dodie makes it possible for them to wake up each morning and to go to bed each night in their own home. Thank you for everything you do for older adults.
